압력반사기전의 구현을 위한 유량제어 밸브의 적합성 검증

Baroreflex(or baroreceptor reflex) that maintains the aortic pressure (AOP) at nearly constant level is a prerequisite for the realization of precise in-vitro cardiovascular circulatory simulator (CCS). In implementing the baroreflex, controlling the systemic vascular resistance (SVR) is critical especially for the real time hemodynamic response. In this research, we applied gate valve controlled by external motor for the SVR. Valve resistance characteristics are experimentally found by pressure head drop measurements versus flow rate measurements for various degrees of opening. Reference valve resistance value is calculated through computer simulation and the valve is controlled to track the reference resistance value. It is confirmed through the experiment that the valve shows the reasonable dynamic characteristics and tracks the reference SVR well.
