펨토초 레이저를 이용한 액체금속 전사
We fabricated micro-patterning using laser-induced forward transfer with dynamic release layer (DRL-LIFT) of liquid metal. Liquid metal alloy based on Gallium (75%) and Indium (25%) is promising material, due to liquid phase at room temperature, nontoxicity unlike mercury, and high electrical conductivity, when bending or twisting. LIFT as an encouraging transfer method is possible to transfer various materials (solid, liquid, paste, etc) with high resolution. Liquid metal is easily damaged by direct laser irradiation, so DRL has to protect it. We coated liquid metal using roller and tape on DRL coated on slide glass. Driving force generated by shock wave occurred through femtosecond laser allows intact liquid metal patterning in sub-ablation threshold of DRL.
