고속 정밀 중량 측정을 위한 전자기 보상방식의 저울 설계
Electromagnetic force compensation (EMFC) is a typical method for high-precision weighing. An EMFC balance includes lever and hinge mechanism, an optical sensor and a voice coil motor. The resolution of the system is affected by stiffness of lever and hinge mechanism, accuracy of sensor, and minimum force resolution of the voice coil motor. In conventional EMFC balances, the self-weight of a weighing pan is compensated by counterweight. As the weight to be compensated increases, the counterweight and system stiffness should be increased. As a result, force resolution is lowered. In this paper, we propose an EMFC balance that provides high resolution even under a high static load condition. The proposed EMFC utilizes air-bearing guides which make the stiffness minimized as well as regardless of static load. Also, we suggest a Halbach array magnetic spring for static load compensation. Finally, electromagnetic simulation of the magnetic spring is performed to verify its force characteristics of static load compensation and extremely small stiffness.
