주성분 분석을 이용한 한국인 요추모델의 형태학적 연구
In this study, the computational lumbar spine model was constructed using 52 subject CT image data and the shape change was analyzed using principal component analysis. In previous studies, the morphology was measured using cadavers. However, recently, introduction of computerized tomography and magnetic resonance imaging has made it possible to restore it to a computational model. Upper/lower end plate width, depth and anterior/posterior vertebra height of each lumbar were calculated from the first to the fifth using 52 lumbar data. Results showed that the upper/lower width and the anterior/posterior depth of the male end plate were larger than that of the female, but the posterior height was similar. Principal component analysis was also conducted using this data. By analyzing the principal component, we could reduce the dimension and interpret the main changes of the spine morphology. We could also observe the correlation of Korean lumbar spine. Based on the results, it can be used as a reference in the design of medical equipment for Korean, and applied the principal component analysis to the 3D computed lumbar model for performing statistical analysis and finite element.
