Evaluation of cell
characteristics using bone conductive material loaded dental implant scaffold by 3D
plotting & SLUP
The aim of this study is to fabricate implant scaffold that can compensate for the disadvantage of materials used as alveolar bone-graft fillers in dental implant surgery. Currently, bone-graft fillers used in clinical is mainly allograft or heterogeneous bone material. However, considering the particle shape, it is difficult to maintain the three-dimensional shape, and thus it is limites to the formation of bone. Therefore, in order to overcome such disadvantages, researches have been carried out using biodegradable ceramic and biocompatible polymer. But, ceramic material is brittle and easily broken when inserting the fixture. In addition, the scaffold made of a soft material had a disadvantage that the shape was collapsed due to the tension during skin sealing. Therefore, in this study compensate the stiffness, frame was made with polycaprolactone(PCL) by applying 3D plotting technique, and then it was fabricated by filling particles inside. The particles were composed of Hydroxyapatite(HA), Tricalcium Phosphate(β-TCP), Polycaprolactone(PCL), Polyethylene oxide(PEO) and Sodium chloride powder. For comparison and evaluated, 3D-plotting grid PCL scaffold and Frame&SLUP(Salt Leaching Using Powder) scaffold were fabricated. Cell characterization using MG-63 cells was performed using the three groups.
