ECMO의 역박동 제어가 심혈관의 혈류역학적 상태에 미치는 영향에 대한 분석

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenator(ECMO) is being used most effectively to extend the life span of patients with cardiopulmonary arrest.
Intra-aortic balloon pump(IABP) is used with ECMO to provide pulsatility to the bloodstream, and some patients cannot use IABP due to additional diseases such as aortic dissection.
Unlike the IABP, the pulsatile ECMO delivers pressure through the blood and cannot respond quickly to changing heart rates within a short time.
Therefore, additional control algorithms other than IABP should be developed.
In this study, counter-pulsation of ECMO is implemented using phase locked loop(PLL)-based control algorithm that maintains a constant heart rate within a specified range in relation to heart rate and counter-pulsation control, and a mock circulation system that reproduces the hemodynamic characteristics of the human body And the hemodynamic changes were observed.
We also used data from arrhythmia patients to observe what hemodynamic phenomena occurred when simulated with a mock circulation system.
