축류팬과 외부 냉각 핀을 갖는 동기형 릴럭턴스 전동기의 냉각 성능에 대한 수치해석 연구

Synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM, hereinafter), which is a typical non-rare-earth motor, can be made more cost competitive than induction motor and permanent magnet type motor because the rotor is composed of only electric steel sheet. Therefore, there is a continuous increase in demand and researches are being actively conducted in the field of high-efficiency variable-speed motors. Due to the structure of the motor, most of the heat is generated on the side of the stator with windings, which is advantageous in heat dissipation and cooling. However, as the development of high-efficiency high-output motors with improved loss characteristics is continuously required, technological improvements in heat dissipation structure and cooling performance are becoming more important. In this paper, the heat dissipation structure of the 15kW type synchronous reluctance motor is proposed. The forced cooling of the outer heat dissipation fins by using the axial fan engaged with the motor shaft is investigated through the numerical analysis model and the numerical analysis model is verified through the temperature saturation experiment.
