이중 캔틸레버 구조 마찰시험기의 측정 신뢰성 향상을 위한 수치해석 및 실험적 연구(Numerical and experimental study on tribometer with double cantilever for improved reliability of measurement)

A precision tribometer which can measure frictional force at micro-Newton scale was designed and its characteristics were numerically and experimentally analyzed in this study. The tribometer consisted of two cantilever and connecting plate to couple the cantilevers and to reduce vibration. It was revealed that tribometer with double cantilever exhibited better damping characteristics rather than tribometer with single cantilever through FEM simulation. The damping characteristics was attributed to the mechanical interaction between the cantilevers and the connecting plate. The efficacy of the double cantilevered tribometer was also experimentally confirmed. When the tribometer with double cantilever was excited with a certain load, vibration reduced about 8 times faster than that of the tribometer with single cantilever.
