금속 3D 프린팅을 위한 회전형 와이어 공급 장치

Metal wire-feed additive manufacturing process is a promising technology for large mechanical components by reducing the material usage and production time. The surface quality of wire-feed deposition is highly dependent on the wire feeding direction. In order to increase the surface quality regardless of the direction of beam path, we designed the rotating wire feeder module which can be rotated infinitively and feed the wire in front of bead formation direction all the time. Finally, we demonstrate the possibility of the rotating wire feeder by minimizing the irregular shape comparing to fixed wire feeding direction.
