울산 스마트팩토리 테스트베드 - 모듈형 가변 공장

The manufacturing trend toward mass customization and even further personalization necessitates that factories have to be smarter than ever before in order to (i) agilely respond to the customer requirements, (ii) resiliently retool machinery and adjust operation parameters, and (iii) efficiently retrofit old systems. To address these challenges, we are developing a smart factory testbed, emphasizing a transformable and modular system under a distributed control architecture. This paper gives a brief introduction to the main technologies being developed and employed for the testbed including a rapid factory reconfiguration manager, an agent-based distributed control system, a transformable jig and fixture system, a dynamic fault diagnosis and prognosis system, and a multiscale part tracing system.
