혈액투석용 카테터의 형상에 따른 유동특성 분석
Although the tunneled central venous catheter (CVC) for hemodialysis has advantages of being long-term and not requiring a separate maturation period, it is recommended to minimize tis use due to several fatal disadvantages such as high morbidity caused by thrombosis and recirculation of dialyzed blood and infection. In order to overcome these problems, catheters with various tip shapes have been developed and marketed worldwide, but the conditions of the patients are too wide to adequately analyze the optimal catheter shape. In this study, we analyzed the flow patterns according to various catheter tip shapes through numerical analysis, and obtained data on recirculation degree and thrombosis-related factors in each tip cases. These results can be used to design a new type of optimized catheter tip.
