입자영상유속계 기반 회전축 토크 측정

Torque measurements are widely used for designs and maintenance of rotatory machines. Panoramic images are used to calculate the torques of the shafts of the rotatory machines. To calculate the torques, PIV (particle image velocimetry) technique has been adopted using time consecutive images of the shaft. The torsional angle of a rotating shaft has been calculated based upon the PIV principle. The measurement system consists of a motor, a brake, and two cameras. Two measurements, PIV measurement and torque metering, have been performed for comparisons. It has been verified that the PIV based torque measurement is capable of measuring the torques of rotational shafts of machines.
