Boiling Heat Transfer Models Considering Fluid Viscosities and Phase Change
This paper presents a revised hydrodynamic critical heat flux model considering the effect of fluid viscosities. The improvement was made by the help of the interfacial instability of the viscous potential flow theory. The revised model shows better predictions at elevated pressures. The Rayleigh-Taylor instability is also investigated considering the effect of fluid viscosities and the phase change at the interface. The dispersion relation is analytically obtained.
