채널 내 다공성 전극을 이용한 대량 양자점 연속 정제

Colloidal Quantum dots (QDs) have many potential applications owing to their excellent optical and electric properties. After the synthesis of QDs, left unreacted impurities in QD solution should be removed. So far, the precipitation and redispersion process, a batch-type method, has been widely used to purify the QDs. The batch-type purification step seriously hinders the mass production of high quality QDs. We developed a new purification process that is suitable to the mass purification of QDs. In this method, the as-synthesized QDs are driven by electrophoresis in a flow channel and captured by porous electrodes. The captured QDs are washed and redispersed to a clean target solvent as purified QDs. In this study, we present a simple theoretical model for estimation of the purification yield of the proposed purification process. The presented theoretical model could provide a good guideline for optimization of the continuous purification process.
