마이크로채널 내 유전영동력을 이용한 자성나노유체의 열유동 특성 연구

A ferrofluid is a liquid containing nano-sized magnetic particles, which can control the flow by magnetic or electric fields. Applying an electric field to the ferrofluid results in a dielectrophoretic force that affects the heat transfer characteristics. The dielectrophoretic force is generated by electron emission according to the microchannel configurations, which will be resulted in affecting heat transfer rate. In this study, the effects of the microchannel pattern were numerically investigated using the commercial code, COMSOL Multiphysics. Numerical results on the heat transfer rate, Nusselt number and dielectrophoretic force are described graphically with various microchannel patterns and flow conditions.
