Wear degradations of tubes at steam generator TSP (tube support plate) have been observed during in-service inspection. Tubes which have wear degradation deeper than 40% through wall are plugged for structural integrity of the tubes. A methodology to predict and analyze the number of wear tubes is needed for long-term and short-term maintenance plan of steam generator tubes. In this study, a projection algorism for wear degradation steam-generator tubes is developed. This projection algorism uses the Monte Carlo simulation method. . The main input parameters are wear initiation model, wear growth rate model and probability of detection model. The projection algorism results are validated against plant in-service inspection data.
